James C. Saldarini
Vice President, Licensing & Regulatory Affairs
Mr. Saldarini brings over 45 years of experience in project management, project engineering and licensing in support of a wide cadre of nuclear projects. Through his service in these various management capacities, Mr. Saldarini has acquired an expert knowledge of requirements necessary to obtain a U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license on time and within budget.
He has extensive experience interfacing directly with the NRC and the Department of Energy (DOE) and has been responsible for the preparation and licensing defense of numerous safety analysis reports, in support of NRC licensed facilities. He also has interfaced with international regulatory bodies, including the Office for Nuclear Regulation (United Kingdom) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
Mr. Saldarini has been actively engaged in the licensing activities associated with large Light Water Reactors as well as Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and Non-Light Water advanced reactor designs. He has worked in the licensing of nuclear facilities at senior levels with many established nuclear engineering companies, including Bechtel, most recently, and previously Foster Wheeler, Raytheon and Ebasco.
As a member of the American Nuclear Society, he served on the Standards Steering Committee, the Nuclear Power Plant Standards Management Committee, and was chairman of the Nuclear Facilities Standards Committee.
Mr. Saldarini received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. from Rutgers University.
