WASHINGTON, D.C. – Advanced Reactor Concepts LLC (ARC) made a presentation of its ARC-100 reactor at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's and U.S. Department of Energy's Joint Workshop on Advanced Non-Light Water Reactors in Washington, D.C.

The purpose of the workshop held September 1-2, 2015 was to explore options for increased efficiency, from both a technical and regulatory perspective, in the safe development and deployment of innovative reactor technologies. This included examining both near-term and longer-term opportunities to test, demonstrate, and construct prototype advanced reactors and establish the most appropriate licensing processes. The workshop was the first in a series of workshops to allow key stakeholders to share perspectives, reach a common understanding, identify potential challenges, and explore opportunities. The initial workshop will be followed by others and the focus will be on exploring how government and industry can meet the potential challenges to licensing and safe deployment of advanced non-light water nuclear reactor deployment.
