Honourable Mike Holland and guests to speak at ARC Canada New Brunswick First Supply Chain Roundtable

Saint John, NB – Tomorrow, ARC Nuclear Canada, Inc. (ARC Canada), welcomes government officials, subject matter experts and New Brunswick companies from across the province to participate in the New Brunswick First Supply Chain Roundtable. ARC Canada is a technology company with its Canadian headquarters in Saint John.

In 2018, the government of New Brunswick made an investment in a nuclear research cluster to advance small modular reactor technology. From both government and private investments, ARC Canada has now developed plans for its supporting manufacturing and supply chain.

“We are pleased to welcome Member of Parliament Karen Ludwig, Honourable Mike Holland, Mayor Don Darling and many other distinguished speakers to this important event,” said Norman Sawyer, President and Chief Executive Officer of ARC Canada. “This is a great opportunity to come together and discuss how we can implement and benefit from a manufacturing and supply chain hub to build and transport our technology worldwide, from right here in New Brunswick. The talent is here, and this is a great opportunity for the entire province.”

“I’m happy to be here today and look forward to the discussions about how the expertise we have right here in New Brunswick can support the development of the next generation of nuclear technology that I believe will one day power the world,” said Honourable Mike Holland, Minister of Energy and Resource Development. “This day will have a major impact in the world of Energy and our province will prosper through the use of our resources and technology.  All of this can be done from right here in our backyard.”

The event will provide an opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers and contractors to gather in a forum to understand the ARC Canada vision for business growth in this sector.

Other speakers and panel guests include representatives from NB Power, AECOM Nuclear Operations Canada, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Aboriginal Resources Consultants, and UNB.
